I was living in a group home just off Cherokee Street in St. Louis, kind of a bohemian neighborhood. I used to walk up to the library on Broadway, at the time I didn't have a computer so I used theirs, and one day I posted this video on my Youtube channel. It's Joni Mitchell with Jaco Pastorius on bass and Pat Metheny on guitar. I went back to the group home, and about an hour later I heard live music outside. I thought, who the hell is that bass player? He's not local. It turned out to be Felix Pastorius, the son of Jaco, there's a famous saxophone shop on Cherokee Street, they were stopping to have instruments serviced or repaired, I imagine. The drummer turned out to be Futureman from Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, who I'd seen a couple times, but on a normal kit, not the drumitar. That was one of those coincidences that seems meaningful.
