I don't really care for this guy, or science communicators generally, I think people like Wells and Bertrand Russell set the tone all wrong from the start. But this is interesting, I remember reading about the Prisoner's Dilemma several years ago, the British mathematicians were dismayed because, as it turns out, being a selfish bastard is bad strategy, mathematically speaking. Just like that, the whole idea of British Values was up in the air.
