Actually, it appears that there are more earthquakes and volcanic eruptions when the sun's output is lower, during solar minima, presumably because the earth's crust cools and contracts, necessitating pressure release. I ran this idea by an astrophysicist in the UK, she has published things against the conventional wisdom on the subject, she agreed with me. If true, we should probably fear cooling more than warming, because a supervolcano is probably a bigger threat than anything other than a large meteor impact.
