On art's affinity with divinity

These are the creators, of course. Art is long and life is short, you're striving for a level of perfection that exceeds the mundane world. And independence, both inner and outer independence, a freedom that comes from actually knowing the rules, and breaking them when appropriate. That's why people who seek wealth and power are never really contented, contentment comes from creating something worthwhile.
