First of all, did you know about the endocannabinoid system? There is a whole system of cannabinoid receptors in your body, it's quite sophisticated. So you have two possibilities here. Either humans and marijuana were designed for each other, or you have some kind of evolutionary scenario, where for millions of years, only the stoners survived. I leave it to you. Similarly, did you know that if the sugar in a can of Coke were turned into LSD, you could get 100,000 people very high? The dosage is so small, and the effect is so profound, you are looking at a serious eschatological question here. Was LSD an accident of nature, or was it designed? I know what I think. One time someone said to me: "You are LSD." It's the greatest compliment I've ever had. One of the great things about LSD is that, more than any other psychedelic (I've never tried ayahuasca) it overwhelms the ego and breaks down psychological defense mechanisms, what I call buffers or barriers. If you have cognitive dissonance or psychological baggage, you will find out pretty quick. I had several such challenging experiences, and I'm very grateful for them.
