Is man created in the image and likeness of God?

This is very flattering for man, but I haven't found it accurate. I have found that the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. Man is not omnipotent or omniscient - even I have to say "Thy will, not mine, be done." And I am Jesus Christ. In particular, I have had to renounce attachment to the results of my work. I can't control the result, I've been impatient to reach an audience for a long time, but I'm still learning too, so everything in its time. 

Man is subjected to infinite pressures of necessity and expediency, obviously this is not the case with God. I think it's a terrible blasphemy to say that man is created in the image of God.
