Diogenes

Diogenes is one of my favorite philosophers. There's a famous story, one day he was sunbathing and Alexander the Great approached him and said, "If I were not Alexander, I would be Diogenes. What benefit can I bestow on you?" Diogenes replied, "Can you please get out of my sun?" (This painting is by Jean-Leon Gerome)
